Farming
So much to do in so little time,
Harvesting crops is our time to shine.
Farmers sweating, sun up to sundown,
Tractors pulling wagons through our tiny town.
Combines cutting corn for cows,
Trucks transporting toonage to the troughs,
June days are long in the scorching sun.
There’s a lot to do before it's done.
Like a heifer squirrel storing nuts for winter,
Mucky madness makes the farmer frantic.
So much to do before the last leaf falls,
Field by field fatigued farmer stores it all.
