Don't You Forget Me
somewhere behind the mess
inside my head
lies a tucked away memory
of she.
how many times i've wished to bring her back
the smile that showed her imperfect teeth
her laugh so lively
eyes so passionate
her carefree thoughts that dances and twirls
never had i known such a pure and raw heart
one filled with joy and love
and pride and security.
the stars that twinkle above me
reaches in my heart with a pang of consciense
that now i know she was the old me
and the old me that constantly surfaces
keeps on whispering,
"don't you forget me."
