Contacting the Volleyball
You could hear the sound of my heart beat
You could see the sweat on my face
I didn’t want to mess up or slow anyone down
I had to pick up the pace
As the ball glides quickly near me
I can’t hesitate in fear
I had to pass or hit it across
I could hear everybody cheer
There’s a white and black blur as it zooms by
I called it and now it is mine
Everyone now expects me to get it
I didn’t want to run out of time
And now as I am running
I hear the sounds of my feet
The crowd died down
Without making a sound
I had to save the team from defeat

Hey guys! So I wrote this poem because I play volleyball and I just thought that it would be cool to describe the feeling of being on the court as a poem. Hope you guys like it!
