Muriels Rukeyser Look Alike
Standing in a lonely cave with bright flames surrounding her,
A women rises with her arms in the air.
Black twig, brown twig, red twig.
There's a wall of darkness over her.
On opening season the men are out hunting with the early light
In the brightness, one or two men start painting
With women standing beside them.
Amazing animals starting to grow on the stone walls,
Their pelts, their eyes, their gender, their hearts,
And the people who paint the caves touch them with life, black, brown, red,
A women aside the men, painting.
