~~ Dawn ~~
Dawn is a shy sun peeking above the horizon
just enough to illuminate the dark night skies.
Wind would gently sweep across the trees
when dawns arrives and you open your eyes.
Dawn is a drowsy sky that’s split between day and night
it’s when you feel half-asleep, half-awake.
Dewdrops would gather on the fields of green grass
when the night fades and dawn makes its break.
Dawn is a relief from dark nights of loneliness
it brings a fresh new beginning, a fresh new day.
The sun would rise and you could breathe again
because dawn is when you know that murderers are at bay.
