This whole time
I was sitting by my bedroom window
Watching for that familiar flash of red
Watching for any sign of that red cape
Why was Superman taking so long?
Doesn't he know this is an emergency?
Doesn't he know I need him?
This whole time
I was waiting for Superman
I never guessed that
Batman would be the one to save me
