Gray Matter
Dark expanse stretched
before me. Flickering lights
like lost souls,
broken headlights calling out for help.
Distance imperceptible, unconquerable.
Honeyed sound trickled
in my ear.
Ornithogalum
blooms scattered before me, yet
the truest astral body
lay by my side.
But, what was this expanse?
Not that I see,
hear, or feel.
But, that lies behind my gaze.
Tissues and charges,
almost doesn't seem … real.
