1. Let your lungs capsize and gravity pull you
into bed, the sharks are your friends
Note: the real sharks are the back-stabbing friends, the greedy CEOs, the childish lovers
and the reef becomes the woods
and the wolves can’t hurt you, they can’t swim
1000s of feet under

2. know that the dogs can’t hurt you
as your bones fossilize
they can’t touch you
because your bones have decayed and the
water engraves gills into your ribs

3. Allow your brain to swell with water
because you don’t need to think

This poem is very interesting. Most parts are very true. Some of your bestfriends stab you in the back. The way you worded it made it a great poem.

This is an interesting poem, because it rings true. At least as often as not, the people who seem the nicest, the calmest and the kindest are the ones that one needs to watch out for. To quote part of a 1970's song, "Smiling Faces", by the O. J's: "Don't let the handshake and the smile fool ya. Take my advice. I'm only trying to school ya." "Your enemies don't do you no harm." You know where they're coming from." Or here's another quote that's not from the above-mentioned song: "With friends like that, who needs enemies." Sometimes, back-stabbing or manipulative friends are what are known as "Frenemies". Inotherwords, they make like they're your friend, but they manipulate you and stab you in the back.

"Have you ever looked fear in the face and said, 'I just don't care.'?"

This is so...It's hard to describe, I just love it so much... Realistically eerie and mystical? I guess? This is so fantastic and congratulations on the publication :)
