She is Lost
She lays on her bed,
lost
staring at the black wall
of her moon lit room
pondering the meaning of life
She often thinks
about flying to Neverland
to stay forever young
and to meet Pan and The Lost Boys
Sitting in silence
wondering “how did we get here?
everyone has a said ‘purpose’
so whats mine?”
Now what didn’t cross her mind was
“you’ve only got one chance,
once you’re gone
you’re gone for good”
And then one night it hit her
she wasn’t lost anymore
everyday since then
shes been living a dream live
doing risky stuff
Her mom thought it was
‘just another phase’
but no, everyday…
she stayed up late
She decided that bungie jumping
was her new favorite activity
living life to the fullest
Now what this girl never realized
the things society does
when you’re young and dumb
She didn’t realize
her parents kept thinking
‘drop-out’ ‘anti-social’
so now she thinks
“why did I do it?” instead of
“how did we get here”
she is lost
