smelling fresh cut grass on a fall night
smashing shoulder pads together, making the loudest of cracks
throwing, quarterbacks throw to the open man
blocking, the lineman put their bodies on the line
tearing through the field, the running backs weave their way through the defence
chasing, the linebackers sprint after the ball carrier to make a bone crunching tackle
juking, the runner avoid bone breaking tackles
players getting called on penalties, making the coach scream his head off
