Gloomy Window
Words digging into my skin
Like nails on a chalkboard
Silently screeching
Maybe I shouldn’t
Listen
But they just seem
To keep coming
Hissing in my ears
Are the violent
Thoughts haunting me
I can’t seem to get away
Constant whispers awaken me
As I begin to dance
Slowly
To the tapping of the gloomy window
There’s no beat
To this heat
Swirling around in this room
Full of gloom and darkness
Tick tock
The clock is beginning to click
Together
As it nears the end
