Face Time
We are a living paradox:
trying to find the meaning
in the puzzle of which we created.
Is it not ironic?
That our lives revolve around something we can’t even clutch,
yet, more than ever, we claim to be “in touch.”
The touch, the click
the power our fingers hold.
The fact that an “unfriend”
can lead our lives to unfold.
Your worth is no longer determined by your skills
Because in this world we compete
for the number of “likes” and “retweets.”
So next time you’re with someone you love
Take a second to look above
because that tiny black screen
is causing our society to wean.
