The ideology runs its course
On subjects of unequal force
As the youth all slip away
For many a long forgetful day

The politics and economics
Take control of thought and deed
All the criminals and the victims
Hear the starving children plead

Still the buildings in the capital
Reap the riches, taxes, wealth
All the cities and the towns
Fear for the nation’s glowering health

The men all wearing suits and ties
Watch the corporate workers die
Beneath the shoes of angry mobs
Nothing stops the mothers’ sobs

For the good, the good of all
Watch the institutions fall
The people go attend the mass
To celebrate the power pass

Yet still the people whine and scream
The new governing powers beam
Forth, leading humanity
No one knows any empathy

The leaders all attend the summits
Deciding the new ungrateful puppets
For the power once all past
Those men regain their power fast

And so our history yet repeats
As the players attend their meets
To commit some other genocide
We condemn the flow, the killing tide

History’s will directs our race
The peoples’ blood, it stings like mace
As for our society’s ugly face
We’ll always kill in our chaotic haste.
