In the eyes of a mere person
A blank canvas is
A bland wall of boredom
An imperfection
They see it unscathed
And put it aside
A wondrous story
To be left behind
But
In the eyes of a painter
A blank canvas is
A newfound adventure
About to begin
With visions of rivers
And mountains to climb
They let their brush lead them
Without any guide
Shouldn't we all
See as a painter
Creating a treasure
From a bare piece of paper
They see things of beauty
In just a bland wall
A world of excitement
About to be formed
