vacancy
my poems have always been about you
you you you you you
the way your fingers drum on the steering wheel
and the colors of your eyes under fluorescent lights
but as soon as i try to dig into myself
i find that i am completely at a loss for words
floundering in search of material to write about
as if i needed any more validation of my own emptiness
