The house was very old;
There were wrinkles upon his skin
His hair almost gone
The teeth were cracked all over
While the mouth hung loosely from his rusty jaws

The sky above was a dark blue
Ominous looking to the house
While the wind whipped into his mouth
Sending a chill through his body
Piercing his very soul

He spotted something in the distance
Long tall and moving fast
This thing was Death
With a smile upon its face
While killing everything in its path

The wind started to intensify
Causing his soul to become frightened
Dashing deeper into the fragile house
Trying to protect itself
From the danger that lies ahead

The house tried to escape
But its feet would not budge
They were too weak to move
So the house made his ground
Ready to face Death himself

As Death approached him
He screamed out in horror
His eyes cracked and shattered
His skin being peeled off and shredded
While his bones snapped and were thrown

The house was reduced to nothing
The only thing left was ash
Death peered around with greed in its eyes
Looking satisfied it laughed one more time
Then sped away at the speed of light

The sky started to clear
The sun starting to awake
He cast his light down
Trying to search for his friend
Who was now nothing but mush

Suddenly something stirred among the ashes
The sun drawing closer to watch
The soul, unscathed and beaming
They exchanged emotions of relief
As soul then set out to find its new home
