Hot Iron
White hot pain sears through my body
I want it to stop but at the same time press down relentlessly
It's so unbearable I start to spasm uncontrollably
I wait for each piercing sting to dull before I move on
Once in a new spot the prior pain dissipates, as though never in existence
And then just when I think I cannot stop
I'm done.
