The Weight
You took every last part of me
Leaving me a hollow shell to crawl inside of
Thought you could break me into
A thousand little shards and take
Everything that I knew to be true
About myself but I have hit my all time low
But I will rise and stand tall once again
Continue fighting with my words as weapons
Until I take back every last glint of
The light inside my eyes that you stole like a pro from me
And your blades will no longer
Hurt me cause I have no fear anymore
I am going to live like tomorrow
Doesn't exist and continue to be
Grateful for every single day
That I have without a 300 lb weight
Strapped around my ankles pulling me
Into the darkness that has become
Your being...you
