Underneath the Banyan tree,
Across the deep blue Hawaiian sea,
I'm deserted, desolate, and all alone.
Will this island become my home?

But the clean crisp sand and cool cerulean sea,
And the waves of aloha soon welcome me.
The mighty Kilauea accepts me with thunderous roars,
As the Waimanalo waves embrace me into their deep shores.

Among the husky coconut trees,
Palm leaves whisper in the salty breeze.
Lava descends and fertilizes the plants,
As tectonic tension creates new lands.

In the island of many rainbows,
The sea and sand now kiss my toes.
The sun bleached land is my 'ohana,
I've finally become Kama'aina.
