Complicated (9:36 pm)
I used to think that it was impossible to be nothing,
and I never understood
what people meant when they chided
“I wish I was somebody.”
Because being a person can’t be that hard;
you fall in love too easily,
breathe,
stay alive
if you’re lucky.
But lately, lately
I’ve started spending a lot more time
wishing I was invisible
and thinking that
being somebody
is getting a little too
complicated.
