The ribbon of decisions
Begs to be danced upon
As the clock slowly ticks
And approaches dawn
Two paths unwind
But one obviously appears
To have been neglected
Over the past years
The majority of the lesser
Choose to take the route
That is most walked on
And never speaks on mute
However, the compass
Of your beating heart
Questions the outcome
That one may break apart
And if that individual
Courageously ventures alone
Their bright, internal light
Will never be outshone
