Bring intestines
and two-ply paper
for neatness;
we can serrate
the truth, bludgeon
the body and
singe the breasts,
retying teeth in
a flycatcher;
pectoral muscles
remember flight,
tendinitis is
a scar verbatim.
Now deliver me
the carnivorous
sculptress,
the hangman:
a translator

of sermons.

Stay alive because tomorrow could be worth it.

I cried. I cried so bad on this poem. It reminds me so much of my mothers experience with breast cancer and having to go through her double mastectomy. It reminded me of the pain of that time and it was beautiful. I'm typically a strong person but you have made me cry. Congratulations.

I shared this poem in my creative writing class, I don't know if anyone else understood it well, but I found it very much so enticing. I've always enjoyed dark writing, Great Job!  P.S. My favorite line is "Deliver me the carnivorous sculptress," Genius.
