The Silly One
There once was a silly butterfly
Who couldn't take to the sky
So she sat alone on a leaf all day
And slowly started to decay
One of her friends decided to ask,
“Why do you sit with such a sad mask?”
To which the silly thing replied,
“I’m afraid to fly, what if I died?”
Her friend just laughed, and grabbed her hand
And took her to fly, and later to land
Shocked, the silly one asked her friend,
“Surely, you can’t carry me ‘till the end!”
Her friend just smiled and breathed in deep,
“I’ll carry you until you can make the leap.”
Feeling warm, and very much alive
The silly one prepared to dive.
