I am the flash before the lights go out.
That “new-car” smell.
I am the toast popping up.
A new pet,
An old friend,
A wise old man on the city park bench.
The song that’s stuck in your head.
I am the ink in your skin

A constant reminder.
The reflection in your shades.
An old Oak on a Summer’s day.
I am your trapeze net
Ready to catch you.

Are you ready to fall?
