Wisdom
"What is Wisdom?"
A little girl asked.
Is it something I can learn?
Something I can buy?
Why is the world working this way?
Is being wise gonne help me understand?
An Angel of Darkness, Outcast of love.
Saw the girl’s confusion, sat by on a stone.
His eyes bled scarlet, smile barely a grin.
Riffled the girl’s hair and sung in her ear.
“Not a possession or a feeling you can have.
Wisdom comes with pain.
Years of agony will teach you why.
That is, if you survive.
Just between us, I’d rather die a fool.
Than try to interpret the doings of my kind.
It’s too complicated,
Too cruel to bear to see.
After all these years I still wonder,
How could God let this be?”
