Confidence
I am not a confident writer.
Author. Poet. Whatever.
I am not a confident artist.
Painter. Sculptor. Whatever.
I feel incompetent,
Like my work is never good enough.
People always tell me,
"Practice makes perfect."
What they don't understand is,
I'm a perfectionist.
If I can't get it right the first time,
I can't get it at all.
"Perfect practice makes perfect."
Is more accurate, in my case.
I'm not one to ask for help,
No matter what.
It's my way, or not at all.
That's just how it is for me.
