My Paperclip
This little thing I hold on tight,
it is a memory of my never ending fight.
It is gold with a Jewish star,
so everyone is able to judge me from afar.
It is me bookmark, my hairpin, and more;
you can not buy the same exact one at a store.
Yours hasn't been through the good and the bad,
mine has the memory that yours never had.
This little object with stay with me,
until my soul is finally set free.
Like a new winged butterfly,
someday I will have to say good-bye.
Take my paperclip, pass it on.
To teach everyone that I'm not totally gone.
