The Hunt
Sun rises a new that day
The chilling air bound
Oppressed by sorrow you set out
Across the mountain
the shimmering lake surrounds
with brown and red flame a lite
To admire the beauty you must stop
but can't
Your task is vital
Your chains are true
The memories of your past
haunt you still
It was an accident
not a planned attack
but all in all you were sent
You see it their
a deer of fair
plump with summers wealth
Toil and toil you begin the hunt
Footprint after footprint you follow
at last the prize is in sight
Food your heart screams
but you keep quiet
You take aim but wait
admiring the beauty of life
you wait and wait
but eventually you must
pull the trigger
