What Cannot be Offered
September 15, 2013
There’s a limit in which
The human eye can see.
The horizon is only
So big,
Unreachable
To our fingertips.
But we desire more;
What’s more to life
Than open doors,
What’s more to life
Than shattered windows?
God thought it funny to create
A world opposite to his own,
With creatures starving for the unknown.
They hunger farther than that
Ungraspable horizon
But I hold my candle
By the edge
In fear of flames.
We crave Knowledge,
Inspiration
And what cannot be given,
Disappointment fluttering in the wind.
