Back-Up
I've learned several lessons in softball. One is back-up. You always back-up your teammates as if the were family, because they kind of are. Always be there for them and do your best to motivate and cheer them on when you can't be there.
Don't take back-up for granted though. Never depend on somebody to be there and save you though. Back-up may be there, but it isn't very dependable.
Back-up is not only a skill needed on the softball field, but in reality.
