A difference we all can make
It is the 6th of April,
And the first spring shower has just come to an end.
From inside, all is quiet.
Outside, it’s much different.
Sounds of different species occupy the heavy air.
In the background,
A distinct sound can be heard.
A low, rumbling snore with occasional clicks.
It is the sound of the Northern Leopard Frog.
But this year,
Things seem to be much quieter,
As it has been the past couple of years.
Father says the frogs are disappearing,
that their homes aren't safe for them.
He says we can help them,
and so can everyone else.
Less pollution, and less carelessness.
More Conservation, and more attentiveness.
It doesn’t take much,
to make a difference and save the frogs.
