Some folks are wise and some are otherwise. I guess we know which one you are.

This gaping hole inside my chest,
Can be filled no more,
These tears that fall will now stop,
Stop now, nevermore.

A raven, blacker than the sky,
Flies above my head,
Calling, crying, croaking out,
“This is your heart’s end.”

A single sob escapes my lips,
As I try to sand strong,
But then I see the ones I love,
Where my heart belongs.

But I shall not forget,
Those times of peace,
I will remember,
What I've seen.

The sun will shine,
The world will still,
Turn and spin ‘round,
For life is but hill.

Down and up,
And up and down,
Bumps and glassy spots,
Are all around.

Fear not horror,
Fear not death,
Fear not darkness,
With final breath.

For after ending comes a start,
After storm comes calm,
After rain comes the rainbow,
Just for you, Grandma.

My step-father's grandmother died today, and I wrote this to try and help with the pain.
