Looking into the face of a beast
The ugly horrid face
One that has bumps and is red
Glasses obscuring the blue eyes
That seems afraid to look
A mane of frizzy hair encircling
The scared look begging people to look away
The monster just wants to run away and hide
Because she isn’t a real monster
She is just a girl
She is just me
