“Every thorn is just part of the stem to a beautiful rose” - R.R.

I tried for hours to write about how much I miss you

But oceans were too shallow

Suns were too dull

Rhymes were too simple

And words meant nothing.

(So please accept blank verses that

I wrote with emotions,

And excuse my strong language.)

So few words, but such a powerful messege!  This poem painted a vivid picture in my mind.  I love it.

“Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.”
― Kurt Vonnegut

I love the simplicity of the poem! A few words have infinite meaning. Could you check out my poem? Thanks!
