Fragments
It was as grand as grand can be
It was the world
It was trust
It was truth
It was to be put simply
Joy
Every laugh
Every moment
Every feeling
It was what is
And that in itself was amazing
But now
Now your actions and words are against me
Now your being is my hatred
You SAY and may believe it so
But in truth it is nothing
A vile boiling cesspool of hatred
Rocketing baking simmering inside me
All of it enacted by you
Your "care"
Your disregard
THE ACTUAL TRUTH
The points of acupuncture
The points you puncture me with everyday
Stabs of pain intended to feel good
Points that once felt amazing
But now send jolts of pain through me
That now stir hatred welling as a thousand suns inside me
Bursting outward
But being kept in
Empty words mean nothing
And that is you
Empty words
But how can you be nothing
When a friend to me you were once
In the most deadly moor is but a piece of my sorrow
My immense capacity to hate something
The thing that made us not so
The thing that is you now
Because you are what drove us apart
And in doing so crushed me
Crushed me under the enormous weight of hurt
Of pain
But my lament is nothing
And so I let it falter
Fragments
Fragments is all we are
Once pieces of something great
Once everything and all
But are so no longer
Never
You are dead to me
