Memory Lane

As we pass in the hall ways our eyes meet
For what seems like two seconds to you
Is the world for me
In those two seconds a flood of feelings drown me out
And carry me out of this world
To a place I like to call
Memory lane
Your sparkling blue eyes bring back
To so many memories of something that once was
Something that I think about everyday
Even though you don’t even remember my name
No matter how much I try
To shove it away
And just move on
I can’t
I can’t let you go
But more importantly
I won’t let you go
My heart longs for the attention you once gave me
Every time I see you with a different girl
I can actually feel my heart break
But
Surely those two seconds are up
And reality is restored
And I just close up my suitcase in my head
That holds all of my secrets
But most importantly
Its where I hold You

You have the really awesome ability of channeling loads of emotion into your writing. I think that this is your best ability--you know just the right way to write to pluck at someone's heart strings. Keep it up!

This is amazing, and I can totally relate! I have someone just like this in my life:) ... For being "messy" I actually thought this was well put together, maybe a few mistakes.. Comment on one of my poems?

cute, I think it is a little messy, just that the length of the lines don't flow together as much as I wish they did(I know it's free verse) but I think it's a pretty story in there!
