And at that moment, I swear we were infinite.

I will not write this poem
about you,
about me and you-
that we were never one,
we were never together,
and that's what kills me the most.

Of course we have to live in the
same town,
and you know all about me,
I know all about you
but this poem is not about you.

I may tell my friends I want you to
die,
but really I want to know why-
because answering my messages
doesn't take that much effort,
but I keep forgetting I was never worth the effort,
and that is why this poem is not about you.

Have a nice life,
but not too nice-
because I never. ever. ever
want to see you with some other
girl, please not ever.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant. -The Doctor

You can correct me if I am wrong, but I had a feeling as I read this that the poem isn't about him but in a sense to him.. In like a secret world where he reads it but he doesn't. Like if you want him to read it but you don't, afraid he will know who it's about.. Please correct me if I am wrong

Brilliant idea to put the "goodbye but don't move on" at the very end. This is the most entertaining and clever poem I've read so far. = )

Ironic, in that the narrarator repeatedly state that "this poem is not about you", yet the entire poem is, in fact, about that person. I liked that. Make sure it flows off the tongue, though. Remember to read your pieces out loud to yourself to make absolute certain of that. Otherwise, good job.
