bring me from what I know MAG
I leaned against the pole
Light shining down
The dark clouds above
Distance thumping from the band inside
My breath gently steamed
Bring back the memory of playing in
the snow
Running through the woods
The laughter of my friends echoed
The music came back to reality
Somebody asked me for a bum
I reached into my back pocket looking
for gum
But only found a pack of cigarettes
We smoked together
Didn't look each other in the eye
Only smoked, inhaled, exhaled
Tapped our feet to the bass
The song ended
I put my cigarette out
Went back inside
To the bathroom
When I looked in the mirror
There was a stranger with small
wrinkles forming
Her eyes which had been bright blue
Were grayed
A new song started
I stood in front of the stage
But didn't hear the music
The world had become silent
