They are homogeneous grains of sand,
And I am a wide open sea that holds coral reefs, drop-offs,
Colorful swimming fish, and alternating waves.
They are the flat, disheveled ground:
walked on, dirty, eroding;
I am the radiant sky:
Full of warmth and playful birds.
They are distracted trees that whisper back and forth
in a lightless forest of gossip,
While I am the shy doe that grazes
Contentedly away from the forest.
