Sweet Death
Death seems so sweet at a time like this
With the stress, and pain, where is the bliss?
That happy feeling I held dear,
I search and search
It is no where near.
Gone with the wind, swept off of it's feet
Gone somewhere new, where we'll never meet.
So I search and I search ever more,
with sweet death waiting at my door.
Here to take me to some great place,
Away from the world, in his embrace.
Diagnosed with cancer, a time frame set
How do I react, I will not fret.
For I've lived a great year
I feel no fear
Sweet Death come take me away from here.
Live life to it's fullest, that's all I ask
Take off the makeup, take off the mask.
Take your joy and make it last
For some days it feels like a thing of the past.
Forget your worries, forget your fears
Relax, enjoy, and dry your tears.
With this I leave you, I'm here no more,
With sweet death waiting at my door.
Here to take me to some great place,
Away from the world, in his embrace.
