Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on it's ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing its stupid.-Albert Einstein

rain falls as heavy as a gushing river
and as i watch from the emptiness of a moody bus window
i see a room that glows red in the distance

rain falls like a flowing ocean
as i walk to this room
lost in threatening anticipation

rain falls like the seven gargantuan seas
but opening the creaky door, and running inside the barren laundry room
i am welcomed by an old, warm friend

rain falls like the heat of happiness
as i soak in the sunshine
of a closed door, four walls, and a radiating wood fire.

rain falls like the the tears of a mourning widow
with the ice on my bitterly cold hands
being eaten away by the kindness of the burning, flickering flames.

rain falls as lightly as a moth's beating wings
my feet brushing the soaked grass
walking back to the emptiness of a moody bus window
now with a smile on my dry, warm face.
