In Memory
I look at your face;
So pale,
So white,
So still.
I stand among those who you touched.
I sense sadness & grief in this small room.
I know some are crying,
weeping for you.
I think back on what caused you
to take your life.
That hurt.
Heartbreaking, wasn't it?
Of words people spoke.
Actions people took on you,
Destroying your self-esteem.
Life wasn't worth the fight
anymore.
Knowing no one cared.
You didn't realize
they had lied, they were wrong.
The words had destroyed
what you lived for.
And now you're gone.
But in your memory,
I will stand up to what caused you
to take your life.
