Society
Dear Society,
You try to tell me who to be.
You portray perfection to be everything I'm not.
Maybe it's time for you to realize that we are all different, and uniqueness is what makes a person beautiful.
You fight for pointless things, taking money with your greed, and leaving children hungry.
Maybe it's time for you to decide what's really important, rather than your wants.
You kill people with words and actions, judgemental and merciless, causing suicides along with murder. Not of just the body, but of the soul too.
Maybe it's time for you to change, you need to learn acceptance, forgiveness, and love.
Your beliefs of what's right isn't always the truth.
Maybe you should let me believe the truth, let me make my own decisions.
And maybe each and every person needs to realize that they are society themselves. That society is not 'them', it's 'us'.
Sincerely,
The People
