Nothing
I saw it with my own eyes.
The blow that took both our breath away.
Physically for him, emotionally for me.
And what did I do to stop it?
Nothing. I saw it, and did nothing.
I saw them with my own eyes.
People standing there, watching, laughing.
They made no move to help, but encouraged it.
And what did I do to stop that?
Nothing. I saw it, and did nothing.
I saw him with my own eyes.
His face contorted in an evil smile,
delivering blow after blow to impress his buddies.
And just what did I do then?
Nothing. I saw it and did nothing.
Nothing at all.
