Epiphany
Grey shadows engulf the silence
and swallow the broken chair
chastised into the corner
as cold ceramic bowls
and stained glasses,
soul-forsaken,
stand in empty sorrow
and uselessness.
Frayed skin stretched over tired
bones weakened by humanity and
mentalities forced into humility
buckle under piles of misery.
A twisted mind loses in
wasted search for faith
and love.
Drained and immobile,
the eyes of ignorant innocence
plea for a nonexistent answer.
A paradise of despair is
free to mingle,
a streak of ephemeral
bliss agrees to
eternal imprisonment
under the curse of belief
until an epiphany.
