I discovered I am tired of the sadness
tired of only speaking of bad things
I'm tired of all the cop shows filled with violence and tragedy
I'm tired of the news about the missing baby that has never been found
I want to hear of something good
want to feel joy
see sunny days
but I continue to wear black because its the only color that looks good on me
I continue to write the way I do because its the only way I know how
And keep watching those cop shows because they're the only thing on
