Listen, Can You Hear the Children Calling?
They come out at night
That’s when the energy comes
By the dark side’s light
Where the vampires roamed
They come and come
Rap, tap, tapping…
Scratching little bones
Along the fireside wall
Grinning grimaces
Bone to bone
Jaws jacked white by the moonlight glow
Falling
Burbling
Dry blood
And secrets from the grave
They know me
They know what I have done
Yes, they know my sins…
But listen, boy,
Can you hear the children calling
From your hidden post inside the floors?
They may not know that the bell is tolling
But they know full well
There’s death on this floor
