I am the Fall
I am the crunch of leaves beneath your feet.
I am the vivid reds, browns, and yellows.
I am the cold, dark nights.
I am the alabaster rays of sun.
I am the dribble of juice from your apple
The rolling wind that chatters your teeth is mine.
Along with the tart flavor of fallen fruit.
I am the sun hitting the shadow.
And the shadow itself.
I am the rising color of dawn.
I am the darkness in the far.
Like the breeze that hits your skin,
And the life of autumn itself.
