The Question.
If I were to ask you would you answer me truly?
No matter how pathetic and maybe unruly?
Cause I’m yearning to know the answer you hold
I can’t just keep waiting until it is told
So why can’t I ask you
For the answer I need?
It may be because of the life you now lead
I’m afraid to sound weak, or petty, unclear
The answer I’m sure
I will not want to hear
It’s stirring inside me
Every time that we meet
But still I won’t ask it
in fear of defeat
So for now I will keep it
The question inside
I’ll do what you did
My feelings I’ll hide
