I love my past. I love my present. I’m not ashamed of what I’ve had, and I’m not sad because I have it no longer...

A single snowflake flutters to the ground
Its beauty untouched and unique
The heavy foliage muffles the sound
Distancing civilization... or so to speak

The enveloping mist around me swirls
As I look down to the moss beneath
Winds blow in delightful whirls
Forming a shrouding sheath

Coming through the silvery luminescence
Is something shining and bright
There is just a feeling of their presence
Something invisible to human sight

They are spirits of winters gone by
Of ancient secrets yet untold
One knows not what mysteries
Their brimming hearts might unfold

Suddenly losing my train of thought
I snap back to dreary reality
The woods will always call to me
Beckoning with their tranquility...

I think "simply amazing" is the best way to describe this. :)

Its beautiful. I love the imagery it formed in my head. And you are so right, sometimes people get so caught up with their hectic shedules(like me:) that they don't realize nature's beauty that surrounds us everyday.
